Adult Adoptees

As an adult adoptee, you may have unique experiences and challenges that can be difficult to navigate alone. Maybe some of the following thoughts and questions sound familiar to you:

  • If you are an adult that was raised by a family you are not related to
  • You act in ways you want, but just can’t seem to be able to change
  • You attribute your undesirable behaviours to just being bad
  • You feel like you don’t fully belong anywhere
  • You had a reunion experience that sent you into a tailspin
  • You are embarking on a reunion journey and need support
If you find yourself struggling with thoughts or questions such as those listed above, know that you are not alone. Our specialized adoptee counselling services can help you explore how adoption has shaped your life and identity, and provide support and guidance as you navigate the complexities of reunion, belonging, and healing.
